John, have you spent any time with the new swaros yet? If so, your thoughts?

Nope, sorry!

Might add that I haven't seen enough advances in binocular optics (except at the lower price-end) to justify testing new high-end binoculars for a while now,. Of course, this may be due to aging eyes. But I keep comparing new glass directly with other binos, and that's my conclusion.

My two new favorite binoculars are the 8x40 Burris Signature HD in the sub-$500 price range, and the Tract Toric 10x40 in the $500-$1000 range. I like the Burris for its very light weight--which I also prefer at my age.

You coming to Montana this year?

Yep, John, last week of Oct. and over Thanksgiving with my boys, , hope you save some critters for me!
Been at our cabin some, pretty dang dry in south central MT.

Pretty dang dry everywhere in Montana--though at this very moment it's raining here, the first time in several weeks--though not heavily. Hope it picks up!

'Boomer's going to have to fight mud AND wind while outwitting pronghorns tomorrow?

Send that rain east to Dawson county! 20% chance for us tomorrow.

Just looked at Q2 after my post...0% now.
