Eileen's latest game cookbook just showed up today. The Wild Bowl includes 100 recipes for soups, stews and chilies for deer, antelope, elk, moose, caribou, bear, pig, waterfowl and upland birds--along with detailed chapters on how best to prepare them, along with how different game meat will vary somewhat in how it reacts to the same basic recipe.

The price is $24.75, which as always on www.riflesandrecipes.com includes media mail shipping in the U.S. (We can also ship to other countries, but the charge will vary. Just shipped three books to Sweden the other day!)

If you prefer ordering from an actual human (in this instance probably Eileen) you can phone 406-521-0273.

Those Campire members who requested to be notified when the book showed up will be notified within the next day or so.

Good hunting!
Eileen wants to thank all who have ordered!
Done! Picked up GG-III as well. Fireside reading season is upon us.
Awesome John. Got mine ordered and perfect timing. Picking up my blacktail this weekend.
Jlimbo,

That does sound like perfect timing!

Might also mention that as long as Eileen was getting Wild Bowl printed, she also ordered the 3rd printing of my 2012 book RIFLE TROUBLESHOOTING AND HANDLOADING, which just keeps selling. It's sort of a condensed version of the three BIG BOOKS OF GUN GACK. They showed up in the same shipment as the new cookbook.
Again, Eileen wants to thank all who have ordered. She spent most of the afternoon packaging and shipping cookbooks!
Saw this and ordered. Thanks, Eileen! Good luck on the newest book.
Will order tomorrow

I placed my order. Thanks for all you and your sweetie do.

Take care
Thanks!
Finally ordered mine today plus your Optics book
Thanks!

Modern Hunting Optics is another of my older books that keeps going along pretty steadily. It was originally a sort of update of my first hunting-optics book, published by Safari Press in 1999--but which became semi-obsolete within a few years due to changes in scopes due to laser rangefinders. Haven't found any reason to update this one yet.
Showed my better half today the page discussing the handy technique of water, brown sugar, and salt and combining with the meat in the fridge.

Her response was "Huh, why didn't I ever think of that?"

It's a keeper....
Good to hear!
Books arrived today, good tip order one at a time, start reading optics book and then jump to the cookbook and then back , go take some elk out of the freezer to try out a recipe, then back to optics, but a good problem to have. Have learned more about cooking wild game from her cookbooks than anywhere else. Actually enjoy both of your books as I learn a lot from them. Have a nice Thanksgiving.😀
ordered my copy! I've been excited for this one after trying a few of the recipes you previewed on Facebook last year. In fact we just had frozen left over Worcestershire thyme deer soup a few nights ago (it freezes very well btw)
Thanks for the report! That's one of my favorites, and might also mention that we've still been eating a few of the leftovers from the book this fall. Eileen froze quite a few, so we wouldn't have to cook so much during hunting season.
Ordered mine this morning.
OSI Sig,

Thanks! Yours went out today, along with several others.
Eileen wants to again thank all who've ordered. She has a pile going out today from orders over the weekend.
guys, i just ordered 3 of Eileen`s new game cookbooks for the lady`s in my family , i figure to give the ladies a new game cookbook and cash , this way my shopping for them is over. Merry Christmas !
Steve,

Excellent! Can Eileen quote you on that?

Merry Christmas,
John
My book arrived, I must say, nice looking book. Looks very well put together. Top shelf!!

I don't think anyone would regret getting one.

I didn't think of Christmas gifts. I might be getting a few more. I need to talk with my commander.

Take care.

YES
Thanks!
Our copy arrived today. Thank you Eileen! We’ll enjoy this all Winter.
Received my book today. High quality and I like the spiral binding? Its easy to lay down flat to read.
What's your favorite recipe?
John
Got to taste all of them as she test-cooked--which she usually does at least twice, and sometimes 4-5 times while tweaking each recipe. Once she's
tweaked them (and often before) I like them!

One of the nice side-effects of this cookbook's progress is we ended up with enough "leftovers" in the freezers that we didn't have to cook nearly as much during hunting season! Instead we just thawed and heated one. This was part of her overall plan.

Should also mention that she's now offering her late-season Christmas special: Order two or more books to be sent to the same address, and there's no charge for priority-mail shipping, which gets it there quicker than the standard media-mail shipping that's included in the listed price of all our books.
I’ve already got my copy wrapped for my wife - she’s enjoyed the others and has really been more excited to cook wild meats since being introduced to Eileen’s library.
Glad to hear that! Can Eileen quote you?

Have heard from several guys how their wives started cooking (and enjoying) game far more after receiving one of Eileen's cookbooks.
She just left for the P.O. with another batch....

Sure! I’d be honored.
Great looking book! Will have to snag a copy for the library here!
Sounds like an idea! Where do you live?
My second copy that's going to be a gift to a friend came in yesterdays mail. Pleased as punch!
Tell Eileen thanks, received mine today. Came in the mail while I was doing something and when I got done I asked the wife where the book went, she said I wrapped it. Now I have to wait a week to see what's in it.
Guess you'll get to see it on Christmas!

Just ordered my copy. Slice of the Wild has been my go for years. Good recipes and good writing. Can't wait to get my Xmas present.
Good to hear you like Slice so much!
