I posted this down on the reloading board but thought it would glean some more responses up here. I was wondering if any of you have a good load for the 150gr Hornady Interbond in a .270 Win.?

Thanks to kenjs1 for turning me on to 55.5 gr of H4831SC! And I've been to the Accurate, Ramshot, Hodgdon, and Alliant websites and gotten some good ideas there.

The powders I have on hand that I think would be prime candidates are H4831SC, H4350, IMR 4831, RL 19, RL 22, AA MagPro, AA8700, Ramshot Magnum and Hunter.

I've also got H380, H414, BLC2, W748, IMR 4320, IMR 4064, and similar, but the burn rate on those are probably too fast.
I like 52.5 gr of IMR 4350 & match primers
I can only comment that usually the first powder I try with 150-grain bullets in any .270 is H4831SC, simply because it almost always groups well, with good velocity. I usually try56-57 grains. (I'll also comment that in loading for around 12-15 .270's my experience is that 150's tend to shoot a little better than lighter bullets, though the advantage is slight and not there in all rifles. But it's an overall trend I've seen.)

If H4831 doesn't work with 150's I try Hunter, H1000 and Magnum, usually in that order.

I hear 61.5 grains of MagPro works good. 3028FPS in a 24" barrel.
I have not tested this load yet, just passing it along.
H4831 SC, then RL22.
H4831SC followed by H4831SC and an OAL change. If that doesn't work then an exorcism! Just checked my pet load this morning.
56gr. H4831SC, Fed 210, 150gr. Partition @ 3.300". It runs 2750 fps in my 24" Kimber 84L.
Hammerdown,

I've tested that load of Magpro in a 22" barrel, and got 2977 fps. Magpro, however, isn't nearly as temperature-stable as H4831SC.

MD, thanks for the follow up.

For my self, I use H-4831. It's what the gun likes.
Thanks guys! I'm gonna load the H4831SC first. I'll start with it about .015" or .020" off the lands with a 55 gr charge, work up from there and see how it goes.
Expect some love at 57'ish grains.
58.0/H4831 with Federal 210 primer.

Glad you asked this question.. I've been trying to nail down a load for my 270 with 150Interbonds.. Unlike most I cannot get H4831SC to shoot in my rifle.. It tends to shoot everything good with Hunter.. I got some decent groups with RL-25 the other day but with Hunter and get seating depth righ I think I'm real close to nailing down a good load.
Gentlemen, Please forgive me for being so late with my thanks for your time and responses from each of you! Y'all have given me some good info to work with. I'll post the results of my load development on here for y'all to see.

Thanks Again, and Best Regards to All,

Tim
Absolutely agree. I also try 54gr of RL22 under Hornady 150sp. Amazing groups from every 270 I've ever tried them in.
