I just got a CZ 527 and the rings that are on the rifle are very high and I would like to have the lowest rings I can find to mount a Leupold 2.5 x scope.
I just need to know who makes them and I will buy them!
Thanks

Craig
I'm using leupold rings on mine. Just enough clearance of the bolt with a 2-7 fullfield. They are lower than the CZ rings.

I'd like to put lower rings on my 527's too, but the root of the bolt handle protrudes so far away from the bolt body that the clearance just isn't there unless I go with a scope with a slimmer ocular bell.

I wonder if anybody out there is doing any work on these bolts to slim them down a bit? It certainly looks like there is plenty of material in that area of the bolt and slimming them down a bit wouldn't seem to hurt a thing.

Well I see that issue, but the other one I see is that the bolt handle is on the wrong side

the bolt handle comes off the bolt body in seconds, and cz-usa will sell you a spare for something like $16, so grind away
I dont think I will have any problem with bolt clearance with the scope i am going to use .
I See millet makes a set of lows (.395 from bottom of ring to the Base and wondering if anyone has used them and if so what do you think of them ?
I have Warnen low 30mm rings on mine. Have had a Bushnell Elite in mine, now using a Burris Black Diamond.
I swapped the bolt handle. Just send him your handle and a few bucks and he will send you a low swept handle. http://www.jamescalhoon.com/
appreciate all the input I can get on this matter of lower rings.

James Calhoon offers the lowest rings for a 527, and a recontoured bolt handle. Good guy, located in Havre, MT, and good prices for the quality that you are getting.

Thanks for the link. I checked into it, just what I wanted and as you said, reasonably priced.
