MD, another member had mentioned you had done some workup with the 280 ackley and there may have even been a thread or two on it? Reloader 26 and 150's? I am starting to load for a 280 ackley and was looking to play with 150, 160 grain loads - specifically the 160 accubond. Hoping for an accurate 3000 FPS and have lots of Reloader 26 available. A 150 Nosler LRAB at say 3100 wouldn't be too bad either.
I got the following results from the 22" Douglas barrel on my present .280 AI. All loads used Nosler cases and CCI 200 primers:

150 Nosler Ballistic Tip, 64.0 grains--3054 fps
168 AccuBond Long Range, 62.0 grains--2934 fps

From these it looks like 3000 fps with a 160 would certainly be possible.

Thanks and those look like a good safe stopping point too. My by guess & by golly loads were a half grain less but still no pressure signs. Forgot my nickle brass might hold up to 2 grains more than the Nosler so I might have a little room to go up slightly but not much.
John,
Is the 168 LR a new bullet? I can't find it on their website.

The 7 mm 150 looks good to me, didn't realize they made one, thanks!

It’s been out at least 3 if not 4 years or more. Tried it in my 7 WSM around 2013-14.
Yeah, the 168 7mm was one of the original LRAB's, if I remember correctly.

Recently Nosler also introduced a 168 .30 LRAB.
I feel like an A$$. I was thinking 7mm and looked at 6.5.
Hey, Butch, it's only a half-millimeter difference!
