Well, I am learning a lot from using a bore scope. Primarily how well I am cleaning a bore and secondly, what counts is how the gun shoots. I dig this Teslong bore scope.

I have an early sixties Rem 700 in 6mm Rem that I bought a few years back. Factory barrel. It was a used rifle that I got at a good price. When I took it apart at home, I found out that somebody bedded it at some point in its life. I gave the rifle to my daughter who shot a Black Bear with it a couple of years ago.

The rifle did not shoot factory ammo very well. I hand loaded 95gr BT's and 80gr Barnes TTSX's. It likes both bullets and will shoot 5 rounds 1 MOA at 100 yards. The Barnes shoots about 1.5" higher than the BT's but with the same windage. Pretty handy! I have shot steel out to 400 yards with it.

Here is a picture of the throat, which is pretty worn. There are various spots of pitting here and there.
