Looks to be fairly priced by a known builder.

Yes, if you accept non-magnum Mauser action you can shave thousands from the price tag. Nothing wrong with standard Mauser action for .375 H&H as Holland & Holland made plenty of such rifles (called magazine rifles not bolt-action rifles). Not sure about .375 Weatherby? Is this H&H improved "half way" between .375 H&H and .378 Weatherby?

375 AI case capacity. Neck up a 340 to 375 and you get a 375 Wby case.

They get more extra velocity over the H&H than the case capacity difference would suggest because 4350 is too slow for the 375 H&H, especially with long spitzers and the 4064 burn rate a bit fast but the 375 Wby will get up to full pressure with 4350. Although with 270 grain bullets Re15 in the H&H narrows the gap a lot.

Opened up properly, mostly to the rear, nothing wrong with an M98 FN for the .375 H&H or .375 WBY.
The exalted Pre-'64 Winchester M70 .300 H&H and .375 H&H were done on the .30-06-length M70 action.
I agree with Mike's assessment on the ballistic comparison of the .375 H&H to the .375 WBY.
The lighter the bullet, the less the advantage of the .375 WBY.
The .375 WBY easily does with a 350-grainer (2550 fps to 2600 fps) a little better than the classic .375 H&H with a 300-grainer, MV-wise, and at same pressure.
.375 WBY with a 300-grainer does 2800 fps in a 26" barrel (honest factory ammo claim) or 2740 fps in a 24" barrel.
Fire that .375 H&H factory ammo in a .375 WBY with 24" barrel and you make brass while slowing the 300-grainer to 2400 fps and less recoil.
And it shoots accurately and with useful POI with either H&H or WBY ammo.
Great in a pinch. What's not to like ?
Yep, pretty nice 375.

That Mauser is pretty.

I really like my 'almost like new' condition pre-64 375 H&H AI. I expected it to be tough on the shoulder, when I bought it. But that is not the case! Maybe because the hottest load for the 300 grain bullets so far are about 2700 fps and the hottest 270 grain loads are 2,900 fps. The Winchester stock fits me perfectly, - it's just a fine all around rifle for me. I have planned on testing with 235 through 300 grain bullets, and have started, I've noticed that top loads are all over the map - on "Load Data".

I'm expecting to get 2,800 fps with 300 grain and 3,000 fps with 270 grain. Not sure what the 235 grain Speer would do, maybe 3,100 fps, a varmint load maybe...

It would cost 3x that much to build that rifle now. I have a somewhat similar.404 J in progress that will probably never be finished due to the cost of stock work.
