Howdy from College Station, Texas everyone. I'm new to the forum at the recommendation of Rick at Extreme Rifle Works.

I'm building a 416 Taylor off of a Winchester model 70 classic action, and while my local gunsmith can spin up a barrel for it without any issue, he doesn't have the ability to fab a quarter rib.

So far I've got a call in to NECG as they list it as an option on their website, however I hear their gunsmith is retiring & they are looking for a replacement.

Any recommendations for a gunsmith that could fab one & install it? Also is there any chance one of ya'll has a Dakota quarter rib blank in their parts bin, as I understand they have been discontinued?

I would contact Mark Penrod. If he can't do the work he can steer you to someone that can.
