I have a 1.5 leupold on my 375 I’m building and also
Gona is the same scope on a 9.3x62
Both have front sights. The issue I have is you can see the sight on lowest power
Can this cause a problem ? I’m worried about unconsciously shooting high in a panic shot because you can see the barrel on the target the cross hairs would be high. Maybe a post would be better

Lots of practice to ignore it. The front sight should be kinda blurry anyway.

FS is always in the FOV with low power scopes. Shooting regularly with the scope as a sighting system makes target acquisition with reticle only automatic.

As already pointed out the FS is very much out of focus and using it as an isolated aiming point would require very significant effort, IME.

I can see the front sight with all my low powered scopes. I see a substantial amount of barrel on some.
I do not have any issue totally ignoring either. I have had no issues with the the front sight interfering with the reticles.

Somthing new to me I guess seems anoying
I hav an old Lyman 2.5 post on an 06 and it seems Perfict no barrel showing
The barrel sight is blurry but clear enough the know it there guess it’s gona take some getting use to

I've hunted the Big Stuff with my H&H using a 1.5-5x20x. Just kept it on 1.5x with no issues.

Getting on a plane today and bringing my 9.3x62mm with a fixed 2.5x. No worries.

Read your reply which annoying jogged my memory of one such occasion. It involved a red fiber optic front sight in low light. The glow from it definitely annoyed me. To the point of taping over it.
I think with some use, you will come to ignore the sight / barrel view. It was similar to me learning to ignoring dot / hash mark clutter in scopes. Particularly the scopes that I have zero use for them.

I do not even remember seeing my front sight when I shot my buff 2 weeks ago, I was more concerned about where the bullet was going to go at 20 yards

It won’t take long before you won’t notice it.

I have a 1-4x Redfield on a rifle and on 1x can see most of the barrel. I simply use it on 3x and forget it!

I have the same scope on my 500 Jeffery. Doesn't bother me in the least. You'll get used to it. Great scope

you could also go to a firedot that Leupold has and your eye will automatically go to the red dot

I do the same with my 1.5-5 and 2-7s.

Earlier when I gave my scope power (3.5-10) on my .375 AI ……the rifle is my hunting rifle and can/will be used from near point blank to 600 (my self imposed absolute longest range in perfect conditions) yards. Hence, the higher magnification than normally seen on a Big (medium) Bore rifle!

I use Leupold QR base/rings and have a 2.5-8 zero’d and on standby if I knew that I would be in primarily close shooting range conditions! memtb

You can see the sights without the scope. Never figured how it would be a problem to see it with a scope.
