I just got a pile of 250gn barnes tipped bullets for my ultra remmy. Any ideas on load developement? Seems to be hard to find. Everything is for 235,270,300,350. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have two M700s in .375 RUM that i feed.

one gets fed 260 gr. Accubonds over 103 gr. 7828 SSC @ 3.65" COAL for ~ 3K fps from 24" barrel.

the other gets 235 gr. TSX over 107 gr. 7828 SSC @ 3.65" for ~3130 fps from 23"

so, i'd start with 100 gr. 7828 SSC and work up
Awesome info. Thanks Toad.
This is the data that I got from barnes from when I emailed them for information. This is the 250gr X bullet data, add 1.5gr to starting load and work up from there....

Powder Min/Vel Max /Vel

XMR 4350* 92.0 2829 97.0 2983

RL 15* 82.0 2809 87.0 2980

H414 87.0 2806 92.0 2967

H4350 92.5 2835 97.5 2988

IMR 4350 91.0 2814 96.0 2969

Big Game* 85.0 2788 90.0 2952
Thanks you. I think I'm gonna run with h4350. Probably gonna start in the 94-95 range.
Let me know what you find out. I have two boxes of the 250 TTSX but haven't gotten the chance to run them yet. I've been very pleased with 270gr TSX
I have the Swift reloading manual but will have to dig it up. Swift makes 250g A-Frames not sure if they have loads for the 375 RUM but it's more than likely they do. I'll look tonight, have to go to work soon ...
Sorry it took a bit, worked late tonight. Here's the data for the Swift 250 A-Frame for a 375 RUM out of their manual

Caliber 375 RUM, case Remington, primer Rem 9 1/2 M barrel 24"

Powder start velocity max velocity

H4350 89.3 2852 96.0 3011
H4831 99.0 2866 106.5 3048

RL19 93.0 2847 100.0 3032
RL22 98.1 2862 105.5 3063

IMR 4831 91.1 2799 98.0 3056
IMR 7828 95.8 2774 103.0 3046

Obviously you're using TTSX's so they may run at higher or lower pressure, so if you use this data please start at the start loads and work your way up slowly looking for pressue signs as always

Hope this helps,

I have two 375 RUM's and in africa last two years used 300 tsx with 100 7828 and it is a hammer.I have just tried 300 north forks with h4350 and 95 grains and over 2900 fps. I know this is one grain over max for 300 tsx in book but no pressur and shoots really good. also had good luck with rl22. with 270 tsx used h4350 and 97 and 98 frains. I have not tried 250's yet are you getting good groups with them. the 300 and 270 shoot half inch and i have shot a lot of animals with both. I find the a frames will not take as much powder without pressure but still great bullets
I called barnes and they said 94 start to 99 gr of h4350 under a tipped 250tsx. Crimp into the groove closest to the tip of the bullet. Gonna be trying that out soon. Will post results. Thanks.
I will add this. I've been putting some rounds down range and with factory rem loads with the 270 gr hornady shoots sub moa. I love this cartridge!
