Howdy:
Anyone use the Hornady .375H&H 250gr GMX factory ammo in their .375H&H? What sort of results did you get accuracy and terminal performance-wise? FTR, I expect to use this only in North America.
Got the chance this year to take after critters with the CZ550 AmSaf in .375 H&H my wife bought me a few years back. I pretty much fell in love with it, as it fits me just about perfectly, shoots Remington factory 270gr SP into one ragged hole at 100 yards, and subjective recoil is less than even my Rem700 in .30-06. It handles and holds/points really nice for me, too. Oh, and the bbl length and/or cartridge pressure doesn't leave my ears ringing after a shot the way my wife's .243Win does if shot without earpro during a hunt.
I'll eventually handload for it, but I also like to have factory ammo options ready to go. The aforementioned Remington 270SP load is good up close at sub-200 yards, but the Hornady 250gr GMX looks like I might be able to stretch to nearly 300 yards without having to hold over.
Thanks for any tips.
