HS Precision or Bansner? Bedeaux?
H-S Precision and Bedeaux.
That is a very clean and classy looking rifle. Very nice!
Very nice rifle even if the bolt is on the wrong side.
I have a rifle that looks in every way like that one, including exact color of stock, but mine is a Bansner in 9.3, and also by Bedeaux.
His blue jobs are distinctive. Roy finishes a rifle as well as anyone.
Ben,
You need some cast bullets to shoot in that thing. Stop wasting money on those copper tubing things.
that is super cool!!!! tell us more about it.
Something.....somewhere.....is in trouble!
Very nice Ben!
Is that coming with you to Roosevelt next month ?

If the bullets that are back-ordered get here.
Beautiful with classic lines. Could you say more about turning the Douglas blank down to your desired contour, e.g., targeted chamber width, why you didn't buy an existing contour vs. blank?
My gunsmith is a .404 J aficionado and has built more than a few, including one for himself. I had admired his rifle a while back and decided that it was a cartridge that I wanted to try. I called Roy and talked with him about it. He was enthusiastic about making one for me and he said that he had .404 blank in the shop that we could use.
I visited his shop and we spent some time discussing it. It had to be a rifle that I could carry and use in the field, so that pretty much dictated the barrel contour and the H-S Precision stock. In addition to being drilled and tapped for scope mounts, It had to have a good set of express sights. I also specified the trigger and three-position safety. Fortunately, he has built enough rifles for me that he pretty much knew what I would like in terms of the finished product.
