Anyone have this combo? I have several of this particular stock, but it’s higher comb would need to work with the iron sights on the Alaskan.
I too am interest in any response to this question: watching closely!
I have one of Rick's Mickey's with magnum fill, works great with factory irons or scope, 4x Conquest in 3&4 Ruger rings. Seems to mitigate recoil as well as Houge it replaced.
Do you know which model you have?
I have an stainless african with a MKII classic. The classic will work with the Irons, although I only shot about 10 times that way. It has a 4x33 FXII in ruger lows and is a good combo. The McMillan is a little better recoil wise than the original wood stock on the African but not a miracle cure. The wood stock has a hard rubber recoil pad. I am not sure how the McMillan would compare to the houge on the alaskan.

Thanks very much.
Keep the comments coming guys! I have a Hogue full bed stock on my .375 Alaskan and am wondering about that McMillan. My issue is that I'd like to use the .375 Ruger on Moose and Blacktails, with the idea being that I have the reserve firepower to handle a big brownie. But it sure is heavy. especially If I'm to climb up into the alpine heights after the deer. Sure would be nice to shave some weight.
