Hi looking for some advice here.

I recently did a bunch of horse trading with scopes, I was using a 1.5-5 leupold on my weatherby vanguard dangerous game rifle, I have talley steel bases and quick release rings.

I ditched the 1.5-5 because I wanted just a bit more range and didn’t like seeing the barrel of my rifle. I ended up with what I really wanted, a leupold vx2 2-7x33 which will suit me perfectly.

However.....

It is too short to don’t on this rifle with the Talley quick release rings.

Do I have any options while staying with the whole quick release thing??? Or am I goi g to have to get permanent rings of some sort which would mean that my iron sights aren’t useful as backups???

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!!!
Maybe the Talley extended bases???

Anybody tried those???
How about Warne? They make QD in different heights I think.
It’s not a height issue, it’s that with the Talley bases and the way the rings attach the scope isn’t long enough.

Talley sold me just the front of the extended base set so that will buy me 1/4” of real estate. I’m hoping that works.

By the way, talley is awesome, if possible I’ll always spend my $$$ with them, they have sent me replacement screws free of charge even when it was My fault I needed new ones, sold me 1/2 sets of rings, answered every one of my emails and been cool about it every time.
