I've always wanted a double rifle and have been looking at several different European rifles currently being made. I ran across a SIACE ARMI Alaskan for sale and had never heard of it before. It is available in 444 Marlin which has me interested, but I haven't been able to find out much about them.

Has anybody had any experience with one of the double rifles from SIACE ARMI? Any information, good or bad, would be a help.

I'll give this one more try since there hasn't been a response to the SIACE question. Has anyone had any experience with SABATTI double rifles? Good or Bad?

I don't like double rifles, but if I ever considered one it would be Chapuis from France. They even make one specifically for Americans in sensible lower pressure rimmed caliber .30-30 Winchester.

Thanks Slavic. I'm looking around at a few different rifles and would really like to get a small bore. Something for deer and possibly hogs. I had a 9.3X74 Beretta once but it was an 8 and not a oo. I wouldn't mind another 9.3X74 but want a side by side. A friend just got a Merkel in 308 Winchester that was nice but stiff as it could be. Think I'll just keep looking around some...
