Looks like the real deal liverwurst. Good call on the onion, mayo, and rye bread. Some red beets, and a little vodka and it is a balanced Central European meal.
That looks great, though I'm usually just a liverwurst/mustard on either rye or pumpernickel. I need to find a place to order some good liverwurst.
I have to drive 3 hours round trip just to find Boar's Head liverwurst.
Grainy Brown mustard and maybe even some horse radish too. Dam now I am hungry, 25 miles for Boars Head & 50 for the real deal damn. A little Chow Chow or piccalilli wouldn't hurt either and some kosher dills on the side.

I'm going to vote for Gulden's spicy brown mustard and sliced sweet onion on Jewish rye as the perfect brauschweiger sandwich. But I'd also very happily chow down with Flave's version. With a beer and dill pickles on the side.

You're right. There's a great Russian Market over in Hollywood. A few more in Miami.
