Anybody ever try it? Neighbor has an apple tree trunk that has turned punky. They offered it to me. I wouldn't have any use for it if it would be useless for smoking food.

Agree with the above. Can’t get clean smoke with punky wood.

Clean smoke doesn’t make much sense, hopefully you know what I mean!
