Buy beans, and grind?

Where do you buy them?

Am I the only one?

I buy whole beans by the 20 pound bag...
Pre kids-

I would grind fresh daily and make a fresh press brew.

Post kids-

pre ground with a timer set to brew at 630

I used the grinder passive aggressively for years to wake up the kids. Not them tiny spice grinders either. The burr grinder with the multi cup capacity. Neighbor told once he didn't need to set his alarm during summer when the windows were open because of my clockwork precision grinding at same time each morning.
Yep, bur grinder at home.

Pre ground stuff at office and hunting camp.

Whole beans.....grind the night before so as to not wake up the little ones.
Burr grinder here. Usually Community coffee beans but I will buy other brands as well just for a change up. Cafe Bustello if I need expresso beans.
A friend from ND gave me a knowing look as I was grinding beans for one cup of coffee... "You know, where we come from we can buy that stuff already ground!"
They have sliced bread too, I bet.

My kids dread hearing the coffee grinder each morning. Ours is just a simple grinder though, nothing fancy. It's still noisy.

Roast green beans, blend then grind. Very fresh. Yes I have turned into a coffee snob, but I am retired.

I grind my coffee everyday and use a French press.

We buy ours from a local retired guy, that does the same.

Less than a week old, every time we buy !

Used to buy from Costco, but in these times, I'm happy to support local.

Pete & Elaine are also customers of our Garage !

Local place owned by one of my former clients. Own their own plantations in Nicaragua, Hawaii and couple other places. Most raw product goes to specialty coffee outlets around the World.

Wife likes to get a few fresh roasted pounds now and again.

I ground whole beans to make coffee for a while. The freshly ground coffee smells wonderful. I just couldn't tell that the coffee tasted enough better than the already ground coffee. And the whole beans cost twice as much here.
I cheaped out and quit grinding.

The old coffee grinder my grandparents had is still in our house.
Keurig.
Whatever kind the food bank gives my FIL.
Or, I buy the cheap 100 count boxes.
Darkest roast available.

C-store on the way to work closed, now I have to
make a whole days worth.

Grew up drinking it from c-stores and truckstops,
Never developed that refined palate. Just can't stand
any that's old or burned.

Grind mine generally, from the coffee display at our local Winco. Light roast Columbian. Into a Keurig cup for my own. If I am out, or just lazy, will drop in a Green Mountain Medium roast Columbian. These generally keep me going for my 3 morning cups of coffee.
