Enjoy!

Awesome on yogurt and oatmeal, COW, grits... or by the handful.

My wife buys bags of pecans and does this, I (well I guess we both do) love those things.

As far as storage, she puts them in a zip lock bag, they don't last but a couple of days around here

We use powdered egg whites and it works really well too, but this is nearly the exact recipe we have. Been using it for years. Have to do something when you pick up that many pecans every year.

I never saw any reason for the egg whites, and do it this way
Quote
Honey Roasted Nuts

two cups Pecan halves
Two cups Walnut halves
one stick French Butter, melted
Honey, about a quarter cup

add the honey to the melted butter. Pour over the nuts in a bowl, and mix well.
Roast at 275F for 45 min, turning every 15 minutes
Spread on paper towels over a cooling wire rack. Sprinkle liberally with Kosher salt. Cool and store.
OR............
One pound Pecan halves
One Pound Walnut halves
1/2 pound Cashew nuts
One stick butter
1/4 cup honey

same procedure

Poor old Keto Man has to stay with the plain ones. A little time in the oven gives them a better texture and taste, but don’t overdo it.

Costco has pecans at a good price. Lately we’ve been ordering them online when we buy our coffee.

Black couple setup beside me at the gunshow last weekend selling candied pecan, almonds and cashews. They were great, I fed them deer bologna and traded for nuts all weekend.
