They're pop'in in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa!!
Of all the good eats here, I got nothing like that locally!
Some butter and garlic and the other ribeye from last night sounds like lunch to me.

Nice, Mike! Worthy of a picture.
Mike it's pouring as you well know this evening should be able to pick a bushel behind the house tomorrow..
Yum, alright !
Never have been able to find any up here.
They're here, but a very closely guarded secret.
I'll stumble across the hallowed ground, one day.
I got about 6 weeks to go ...had a burn near me last year...
those look great. Nothing like that growning around here.

Great to see you back in the food forum! Been a while and I hope all is well with you, sir!
What kind of mushrooms are those. We don't have stuff like that around here. You pick things that look like that around here and you might wind up dead.
How do you cook them?

Morels
Numerous ways to prepare them but as noted above..sauteed in butter n garlic and accompanying a steak is the bomb!
The custom here is to soak them in saltwater overnight to cause any resident bugs to vacate the fruit before cooking.
We roll them in seasoned flour and then fry in butter until browned. As said earlier, few things are a better side dish with steak!
