I have leg quarters simmering on the stove now. Add spices, and do the dumplins tomorrow.

It's simmerin' in the Dutch oven now, the dumplins' are mixed save the milk. It smells good.

Was thinking the same thing when reading the title. Biscuit type dumplings from Mom's old Good Housekeeping Cookbook. Usually make a big pot and freeze some.

Was a wedding gift, Mom didn't know much about cooking. Now not a cheap shot, Aunt Mary Jane was perhaps the most practical person I've known. But I bet Dad had to explain that to Mom. grin
