I have this thawed out. I sliced some as thin as I could for rouladen. I'm thinking its been a long time since pepper steak?

Marinate in soy sauce and meat tenderizer for about 4 hours then broil or grill to medium rare, let sit 15 minutes or so, and slice across the grain.

Honestly though the cost of flank steak has been outrageous last 20 years.

Dry brine for an hour with salt. Then light salt and pepper.

Grill over wood for 2 minutes'ish per side very, very hot. Rest for 5. Juice of half a lime on top. Slice against grain. Consume with guac, Pico, tortillas,cilantro, diced onion.

Flank steak goes great with Masa tortilla shells.



Its too damn pricey.

Please use real soy sauce for this.

I would like to hear your rouladen recipe. I made a grilled version with venison tenderloin, pickles, mustard, onions, and bacon and it was pretty good. Next I want to do the more traditional slow braised version. Thinking about a sauerkraut and mushroom filling.

Flank steak is great for Fajitas. If it looks like it will be tough I cook it inside of agave leaves split open for awhile before grilling it.
