Only if the pie is completely cooled.

Flakier than Gus even.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com] That chard spot is where, ahh is where someone put the pie on a hot burner for the picture, blush.

Hot pie is the margarine of desserts.

Warm pie is king

This esteemed panel of food critics can not even agree on something a simple a peach pie.

Eat it with fork, or chopsticks?
Posted By: Ulvejaeger Re: Peachy pie. - 06/05/20
Use a fork!
And DON'T screw up a perfectly good pie with ice cream!
Posted By: eaglemountainman Re: Peachy pie. - 06/05/20

Cold pie, ice cream and chopsticks for me please.

Neither. Eat it with a spoon so you get all the juice. grin

Yep. The spoon gets it all.

But, the dish ran away with the spoon. laugh

That looks good. Recipe please?

Made a couple of awesome rhubarb pies this last week (our patch went crazy this year).

Slavyanka and I just discussed making a peach pie. I’ll buy frozen crust. Can’t make pie crust to save my life.

One of my all time favorites.
Posted By: wabigoon Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
Recipe? The crust, flour, water, salt, lard. She used a Crustarnet , spelling?, for that pie. Fresh peaches, sugar. maybe some corn starch. Mostly fifty years plus of doing it.

Like playing a musical instrument, practice a lot. You can always eat the mistakes. laugh

You're a good man!

Warm/hot pie is for democrats.

There, I said it!

What can this place agree on?
Posted By: bucktail Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
Crisp is better than pie.
Posted By: 5sdad Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
I can never keep crisps and cobblers straight. Do crisps involve (gag) raw oatmeal sitting on top?
Posted By: wabigoon Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
No gag John, the meal cooks with the crisp. a cobbler has a wet dough baked on top.

I am a simple man. I use the terms slashed/ , hyphenated, and interchangeably.
Posted By: 284LUVR Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
Crisps for me is a crushed nuts/brown sugar mix
Posted By: bucktail Re: Peachy pie. - 06/07/20
I've always had oatmeal in the crisp and not in the cobbler. Denny's crisp sounds good though.
Posted By: ironbender Re: Peachy pie. - 06/08/20
Oatmeal, butter, brown sugar for the win!
Posted By: ironbender Re: Peachy pie. - 06/08/20
Yanno, unless it’s pie! smile
