We're doing a local raffle for a co-worker that has Terminal Cancer and I'm doing some shots of the guns we're giving away. I thought I'd do them in HDR. Shot within an hour of sunset trying to catch "the glow" a bit. Thoughts?

I know, this is a departure from my birds and other creepy crawlies but I'm trying to make these flyers look the best I can for the raffle. I don't know if the HDR looks too much or just a regular photo would be better. Just looking for some opinions..Thanks,
Jason
Very well done! I like HDR with guns because I think it adds to the metal in the pics. I think the first one may be my favorite.

My personal preference would be a regular photo taken in soft diffused light and a large aperture for shallow dof. Maybe use a CPL to reduce glare.
Of the HDR images you posted, I prefer most the one of the single-six. The noticeable haloing with HDR is a negative to me.

Take a look and see which you like better..Since you preferred the Ruger Single six. For some reason (I think it's the metal too), I prefer the HDR better...No HDR on these.

Jason,
There is better detail in the grip with the HDR version, but there is also more darker grey in the stainless. The non-HDR pic seems redder in the grip and rust. Thanks for putting the other version up for comparison.
