Nice job! White and or black birds can be tough to catch detail. Was that lens stretched out or somewhere mid-way in its zoom range? Courtship or territorial display? What might that be on the head of near bird in the last shot? Seaweed? Sorry for all the questions.
About 400mm. ISO 1000 f8 They were squabbling over territory to catch breakfast (mud minnows/shrimp). That dark stuff--that was another type of bird, not an egret.
Here is a Cormorant with one of the shrimp they were after.

The "near bird" is a wood stork, aka "Old Granite Head".
