Now that the weather has turned for the worse and deer season is over, I need something to occupy my screen time. Thought I would post one to get started.

A great friend on a summer photo trip in the San Juan Mountains.

Man! That's a challenge as Cookie has snapped thousands this fall. Nothing exotic like the first one above, as we stayed near home this year. I'll limit myself to two.
A nice 3By in a stand of rabbit brush

and one we call Big Eddy that we've seen repeatedly for 3 seasons. Still a dandy buck but he lost the left rear tine in a later altercation. .

Great to see Bob Whites! Common to see and hear them during my formative years in Va and WVa. On visits now, the fields are essentially silent. Do triple backup those images and congrats to the youngster for getting out there.

Also, found another that I like.

Early morning, and I can't quite figure out the issue with his nose.
Cool photo of the mulie!
Some of my favorite photos are the one with a great story or experience but as the photo itself, nothing special.

Don't think I could pick a favorite but here's one from this Fall ..........

Wish we had more blue sky opportunities, as the subject is absolutely central in such images. Nice shot!

Had a brief opportunity to watch some sheep about a month ago. Seemed like the competing rams were almost glued to one another with the dominant individual tolerating a lot of harassment. No one really squared up, but lesser rams were constantly pawing at or delivering minor head butts. Big Eddy would pretty much just ignore them.
tikkanut- sure do like those desert bighorns.
Nebraska- looks like an old mail jeep that has made its last delivery and is enjoying retirement with a view.
1' - I like Cookies second image with the brown tones and seed heads, even though it does not have the soft warm light.
Fair Chase- telling stories and recalling memories are a a big part of photos to me too.
Cheesy, your boy is fortunate to hunt quail and have a nice SXS.
Godogs - fall aspens are great and make my favorite time of year. Is that Lone Cone and Little Cone?
I'll add, the SXS is mine, he can't have it, and the quail, one was mine, one was ole_270's, we just made him pose for the picture. Won't be long before he can start wasting lead like the rest of us though.

Bighorn Sheep to me are like the end all be all of animals. Just so majestic looking to me, great picture above. All of them are great.

Wildlife isn't really my bag but, sometimes even blind squirrels find a nut. A loud yell got this cat to stop and turn for a moment.
