In the very compact range I'd look at something like the Sony RX100 iv.

Otherwise a DSLR with large sensor and wide angle kit lens.
Sony is a great option but unless you need 4K video the RX100 MK3 is a great option for a lot less $$

For interiors, you will want a wide angle. I fear 24mm will be too tight. Maybe pick up a used Canon or Nikon crop sensor body and 10-22, 10-24mm lens to keep you in budget.
