Took the kayak out on the Columbia River this morning, and a bit of the Wenatchee River as well. Went about 5 miles total - what a great workout! Thoroughly enjoyed. Then took a short hike near the confluence of the two rivers. Got some decent photos this morning. Highlights were eagles, osprey, and mule deer, including a brief glimpse of a spotted fawn.

Wish we had better access to the mouth of the John Day. Sheep.

Not sure Cookie would shove me off in a kayak with $10K+ in equipment aboard.

Ya, I got nervous enough about just my little Olympus & a single telephoto lens in the kayak!

Worked out okay, but dang. I was worried 'bout the camera. I need to get some kind of a dry bag for it, and make sure the bag is tethered to the kayak. Just in case.

Great photos ! Sounds like a good time.
I strap a Pelican hard case to the front within reach and when I am good and ready I can open it pretty quick...Beats worrying about paddling and water on the glass...lol
