I'm going to look at this rifle later this morning. I have found some information about the M24, but have never actually seen one. How many rounds would it take to wear out the original bbl? I have never heard of a "Beyond 1000" bbl. Any guesses about value?? Thanks, Ken

no bolt stop to increase accuracy ?
never heard of such a thing.
sure would make cycling the action under stress interesting !

depending on how much shooting and how fast with barrel heat ?
it would take some rounds to wear out a lil .308

Fraud not a true M24. First the M24 has a HS precison stock, canted land rifled barred, Leupold scope and a tuned remington trigger.

A M24 is a package that Remington contracts with the military and now offers it to the public. Cost of the whole package is $8000.00 dollars. To me this is probley a PSS thats had a Mcmillan stock and jewell trigger installed. I also have never heard of beyond 1000 barrels.

There is a beyond 1000 weapons that builds rifles but they use Pac nor barrels

There is probley no bolt stop because as they were drifting the pin over for the trigger the spring was probley in the way causing it to break. I just had on do it to me. You can replace the spring for hardly nothing but to say a bolt stop decreases accuracy is BS

It looks like someone tried to build a M24. It has the correct HS stock and the expensive Burris mil-dot scope. After market SS HB and a standard Rem SA. It's all pretty rough and the scope has been painted. Scope has a scratch on the lense too. I may or may not end up trading for it. I think an ex-army person took the scope and stock when they were discharged.

I wouldn't for that price.

Nope, me neither. I would have had $750 in it.

M24's do not have McMillian stocks, and certainly do not use Burris scopes.

That gun sounds like a hack job.

As far as barrel life, 4-6,000 rounds is pretty normal in 308's.

It isn't the "correct" HS stock either because M24's are long actions; mine are currently being refitted as E1's in .300 Win Mag. The action and barrel should be drilled for palma sights as well. As stated they have Leupold optics.

Beyond 1000 rounds means he has shot over 1000 rounds through it. If he "heard" the lack of a bolt stop increases accuracy, he is a fuggen idiot to say the least. The rifle is a hack job. RUNNNN! Flinch
