Mid Range Ram - 12/16/12
I started a post here about a month ago "Long Range Sheep Shot" that was about helping a friend get his Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep using my rifle to take him at 1285 yards, that was on the opening day of the hunt.
I waited until almost the end of the season to take my Ram, I wanted to see as many as I could before taking one. I have been scouting this unit since early June and have seen at least 50 different Rams.
When I decided this was the Ram I wanted I could have shot him at 150 yards but I wanted my son to be there for the shot, my son was late because he had to ride his mountain bike in Moab on the way up to camp.
