Anyone have a starting load for this combo?

Thanks
Mike, that's another I'd like to try in mine. Interested to see what this turns up, but I'm thinking slowwww powders.... 7828 will be the first I try.

How'd yours turn out?
Tanner no one has chimed in with any data yet on the 115. Check out my post in the custom rifles thread. Builds coming together.

Nice, Mike! That looks great, mine should look very similar. You went with a #3 Bartlein, right? What's the all up weight?

I've noticed lots of loads for guys shooting 6mm SLR (very similar to a 243 AI, 30 degree shoulder), utilizing either RL-25 or H-1000 with the 105 and 115gr bullets.
115 bergers shot well if they will stay together
Eddy, any suggestions on where to start?
Thanks
Mike, found this 115gr.info on the 6mmBR.com

Reloader 25 47.5 Fed 210m 115 DTAC moly 3150 fps George Gardner's Tac Match Load.

VV N165 44.5 CCI BR2 115 DTAC 2960 fps JoeH's Acc. Load--2950-2970 best with all powders.

VV N170 47.5 CCI BR2 115 DTAC 2960 fps JoeH's Load--2950-2970 best with all powders.
check the BC on the latest 105 grain bullets like the berger hybrid they are more than the 115 bullets. I always wonder if the extra speed of the 105's would make then better than the 115's
Thanks US Patriot.

cummins I am starting to think the same thing. Soon as I find some hybrids I will grab them and give them a try, as well as the 105 VLD Hunting
I have worked with the 115 Bergers in a 6mm Rem, on a Long Action, and a 24 inch heavy magnum barrel with a one in 7 twist....

my best two performers were RL 19 ( 46 grains ) and H 1000 ( 50 grains IIRC).. both gave a velocity right at 3250 fps....

bullets were seated to magazine length...

hopefully this might help out on the 243 AI, which should have similar capacity....

proved to be pretty accurate for me right out to 800 yds, which is so far the most I have been able to use them on with any regularity.

did get a chance at another range once to try them out at 1000 yrds, it did okay considering I was the shooter...
I had good results with RL-22 and Retumbo in a 6mm-284 with 105 berger hybrids, 107 SMKs. 115 DTACs shot okay but not as accurate with same two powders.

Recently switched to RL-33 and 105 hybrids with a velocity boost over the other two powders with excellent accuracy.

RL-33 might be worth trying in your slightly smaller case with the heavier 115 grain bullet.
