I have a chance to pick up a Zeiss conquest for fairly cheap and was planning on putting it on my 260 but I'm not sure how good the tracking is on them. What are your guys thoughts on the conquest?

I think they are pretty good scope, I put one on one of my rifles and have no complaints. Good glass and rapid Z puts you on target quick if you know the range and practise lots with it, for long range shooting kinda limited with the 1 inch tube which gives you only about 66 moa. For the price good pick for short to medium range shooting. Don't know how robust they are, haven't dropped it or rolled a quad over it yet.
Tracking and durability has been excellent on a couple of 3-9's.

Flawless from my experience.

Best buy for the money IMO....

Only problem I have with them is the parallax is pretty bad at 200 & beyond on the two I have, and very sensitive to eye position due to that.
Excellent scopes track extremely well. I have used them past 1000 yards, super clear optics
Tracking is better than leupold imo which might not be saying a lot to some
Been very please with all aspects of my conquest scopes

I've had 3. One tracked spot on, the other 2 were not up to the task. I stopped using them.

Built to compete with leupold at a similar price for an american market. Hard to get everything you want in a scope for that price. Resolution, parallax, eye releif, consistent tracking, clarity. They do compete well with leupold in those aspects but are no way a german zeiss in performance or price. I have bought the conquest and liked it. Just make sure the one you get does what you need i have not seen tracking issues and thought it was worth the money.
Far superior to a leupold. I have had alot of conquest the 6.5-20x50 that we used long range tracked excellent to 1200 yards and back. The new HD5 5-25x50 is a steal at the retail price for all the features and excellent glass. No way I would buy a leupold at that price point. And is far as comparing to higher priced scopes the zeiss is plenty good enough glass for me I don't need scopes that cost 2x-3x what the HD5 cost. The returns are very very small

Reviews on the 5x20 hd5 are very good. It cost well over a 1000 dollars so it probably is not fair to compare to the cheaper zeiss. Might depend on which zeiss is considered.

Returns on higher dollar scopes are not small depending on what you are doing with them...

I have more than a few conquests.... never had an issue with them. The first divari I had something broke loose inside on teh first shot. No biggy, replaced for free of course...

The glass in the Conquest's I had was really good, outstanding considering the price point. That 4.5-14 I had was one a guy should never sell.
I have since gone to a 4-16 S&B PMII on a varmint rifle intended for 3/4 mile marmots. Is it worth the 3+ cost of the top end Conquest? It is to me because the turret function is absolutely spot on, contrast and resolution are as good as it gets, bar none.
The Nightforce I am now using on my medium range big game rifle also has turrets that are totally accurate and reliable, with good glass.
Perhaps these scopes aren't doing anything the big new Conquest couldn't do... if it not only tracks right, but .25 MOA clicks mean precisely .25MOA, but with the brands mentioned, I felt confident I would have scopes that I could count on to be that good, and they surely are.
Marmots at 1400 yards with 16 power magnification? There are precious few scopes out there that have that kind of glass... and they are all highest dollar scopes.
