Anyone shooting a 6.5X284 set up like this? What's your favorite combination?

By long throat, do mean the 6.5-284 Norma vs. the wildcat often referred to as the 6.5-284 Winchester, which IIRC, had a shorter throat.

Well, the case is the same, but OAL, can run over 3.4".

I had the Norma reamer done for a M70 long action last year and ran 143 ELDX at good speeds seated out to 3.2ish" over H4831sc with good results.

I run 140 VLD's at 3K over 48.8 gr. RL-17 out of a 26" Krieger, half MOA.

Gun is a pre-64 with Borden's Bumps. Don't see many of those.

Frediii has a very nice 6.5-284 that I believe he used a Long action for the build just to do this
