I came across a really nice rifle the other day that I couldn't pass up. It had an awesome scope on it and seems to be everything needed for a long range rifle. I know several here are familiar with Alamo Precision, so I figured I'd share it...

I'm not sure if I'm keeping it yet, but I'd like to know what loads you guys have had success with in 28 Nosler?

Thanks in advance!

Super rifle, good luck with it! What fluting is that?
Very Nice!
APR is doing some great things.
I have a thread here about my 28 Nosler.
Be sure to let me know if you decide to let this rifle go!

That is called ratchet fluting, and is most effective at reducing weight and inducing cooling.

They totally suck ballz... Horrible caliber for LR shooting or hunting. An absolute pile...How much you want to sell it for??? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
Ask Kingston or dvdgeorge. They have a lot of recent knowledge on loads that are working for them, albeit different rifle maker.

You should just sell it to me and be done with the frustration ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thanks Sako76! From what I understand, that's a unique fluting that Alamo offers.

Thanks Jeff! I couldn't remember what they called it...one thing is for sure though...I like it a lot!

Lol, you never know! I did finally get some factory ammo in for it. I doubt it will live up to it's full potential with the factory ammo, but I'm anxious to see what it can do.
How is it throated?

I haven't checked to see yet. I bought it on a whim because of the optic and the quality of the build. I'd seen mention of the 28 Nosler several times, but hadn't really even researched the caliber. I typically don't do that, but this is such a nice rifle, and I don't often come across builds like this in my area.
What was the optic?

It had a S&B PM II 5-25 on it...the S&B may go back on it but I'm not certain yet.
Congrats on your new rig.
Go kill stuff with it.
Thinking hard about using Alamo Precision to build a 6.5 PRC for me....they seem to do excellent work!!
If you can run that factory stuff over a chrony, I love to here what your getting. We`re shooting 160 Nosler factory at 3150fps. Yours?

Hell of a nice rifle!
Yeah, you should probably let that one go super cheap before shooting it.

They built me a lefty 6.5 creedmoor. I was impressed with the whole process. Jason took my order and answers questions i had on several calls.

I follow them on FB. They are turning out some really nice guns.

Is that top speed?
I bought this dandy from Rolltide a few weeks ago. I decided to change out the stock for better hunting ergos for me. Thinking I may paint up the stock in a Raspberry and Cream configuration. I should pm Larry about how to apply spray paint. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Re33 and 195 gr Berger gets me 3150 fps
Re33 burning clean? ๐Ÿ˜Ž
You know the answer to this.
When The Vit 570 shows up we shall see what happens

I have a Piercision in 28 Nosler throughted for the 195s. Re33 gave me great velocities and accuracy, but was dirty and not temp stable at all. I switched to retumbo. Speed is down to 3000fps, but itโ€™s just as accurate and I can shoot longer between cleaning.
Iโ€™m gonna pass on the R33 and wait for VN570. Boxes until then. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
RollTide--did you ever shoot that bad boy?

Above post and picture shows RT sold the 28N. I passed the โ€œGB Renegadeโ€ stock to a pard and put on a Grayboe Terrain stock. Hereโ€™s my version of โ€œRaspberry and Creamโ€ stock painting....No I havenโ€™t had a chance to shoot it either. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hey Mark,
Did Stevie Wonder paint that stock? laugh
My stock painting skills leave a lot to be desired. Even a blind dude can see that. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜Ž
I'd quit using sponges and try an IUD.
A little late when your rig is already pregnated with color ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ˜Ž
Yup, I missed the sold post. I heard a lot of good things about Alamo Precision Rifles, I just wanted a first hand report. Good luck with that badboy!
