To make a long story short. I have a bolt action .243 Winchester utilizing Badger M5 BM and AI 5 round magazine. The set up functions fine, however, the magazine sits approximately 2 1/2" inches below the stock.

Are there any magazines on the market that will work with the above setup and sit closer to the stock??

Thanks for the help.

Choose black for color
Choose 3 round for capacity
The Curtis Custom is an option...

I want to say MDT also had a 3 round AICS magazine.

Thanks for the help. MDT mag ordered.
I have seen this same concern noted on this forum more than once. Out of sheer curiosity....why does this bother folks? I have been hunting with 5 and 10rd AICS mags for years, and have never noticed them as an issue, or thought they were a bother. In fact, added capacity is one of the biggest draws to that setup.
In my case, my young son has really taken an interest in deer hunting. Most of our hunting is with a different bolt action rifle that has bdl style bottom metal. However, he recently used my .243 winchester for a youth hunt. Asteticsally, I don't think he liked the 5 round magazine look. So, I just wanted to give him a different option, with regard to magazine length, because I really enjoyed him using the rifle and would like him to continue using it. For me personally, the 5 round magazine works fine.
Gotcha...
