I bought a 6.5x57 pre-war WWII Mauser made by a Herm Weihrauch I think in Austria? I'm sure there is someone on here to fill in the blanks for me! It is mildly engraved and 1/3 octagon barrel will a full length integral rib, set triggers with claw mounts! I tried upload some pictures , but they are all to big! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Otis!
You have my envy, the 6.5x57 mauser is a great cartridge that never made it big stateside

Now I have them all, 6.5x55, 6.5x57, 7x57, 8x57, 9x57 and the 9.3x57 plus 2 9.3x62’s oh also a 1905 Mannlicher/Schnauzer 9x56 MS
I'm in the process of putting together a rifle in 6.5x57, I've always like the cartridge. In fact, I bought ammo before I even started considering a rifle...found 10 or so boxes of loaded S&B ammo.

Yeah I got the dies ,3 boxes of PPU, bag of new brass to boot
6 x 57 is my favorite cartridge... probably because of its rarity in the USA..

Built mine on a Model 70 Long Action, that had been an 06. I put a heavy magnum contour barrel, 28 inches in length...

its like a 6.5 Creedmoor, but on a long action...

It'll reach out there......
I *really* want to build one on a CRF Win 70 action.

shocked shocked shocked i want that!!!! shocked shocked shocked

i have a '95 Chillian Navy Mauser action that just needs a 6.5x57.
What? No 6.5x54mm M-S? This is a travesty, and this is the only 6.5mm cartridge I've handloaded. I'd pick up one in a Mannlicher Schonauer if I had the opportunity and funds were available.
