Thought I would post pics and specs of my new toy. I work part time with Tim McWhorter of McWhorter Custom Rifles and he helped me put this one together for my recent Texas trip. I call it the Texas Twister.

Funny you should say that, it did the same thing to me when i was spraying the duracoat. Between the fluting looking like it was moving and the fumes, it had me dizzy as hell

I like the stock, but you put the bolt on backwards. I do not know if you noticed. It goes on the other side.

Cool rig, you did a nice job

Really nice. The 270 Weatherby has always been on my want list. Well done.

Cool rig!! That barrel looks big for a #4, how much does she weigh? How does it shoot?
Posted By: 45blackhawk Re: The Texas Twister - 12/08/07
Thanks for the compliments. It will shoot 1/2" with 140 grain Accubonds and Vit N560. All Tim's rifles carry a 1/2" gurantee. I would have to weigh it to be sure. Its not a light rifle for sure, but it balances well and I prefer a medium weight rifle over a real light one.

Isn't the rifling supposed to be on the inside?
