Leupold VX3 2.5-8X36 B&C reticle









Kevin filled in the stock and matched the color pretty well where the bolt release was for the Montana action.

Far from my style, but I like it and would definitely hunt with that one! Great job.

I'd prefer the warmth of wood and deep bluing, but I've hunted a couple of times up in SE Alaska and can appreciate a purpose built rifle as well. My purpose was an all around big game rifle that weighed in at 8.5 lbs all up, that wouldn't beat me to death and still deliver a wallop. I wanted a rifle that could ride around all day in a 16' aluminum boat in saltwater and come out not looking rode hard. I came pretty close to my goal, the rifle weighs 8 lbs 9 oz all up with sling and six rounds.

I like it. I am also liking those "little" Leupold's more everytime I see one.

Outstanding choice there! Probably one of the best rounds for the "All Around Rifle". Might be a good idea to have it coated, even stainless will rust in Southeast.

It will eventually be coated, just didn't need too right now. I have at least another year before I can travel anywhere to hunt. I took a new job last year and don't have any vacation time built up yet.
