I have a Remington 700 that developes trigger creep when torqued into it's stock. The trigger feels great out of the stock. It does this with 2 different triggers. Could the action be binding enough to cause this? Would bedding the rifle fix the issue?
Thanks,
Jess G
Check the trigger where it goes through the trigger guard to see if it is rubbing on it. Or perhaps the creep is there when the rifle is out of the stock but it is just more difficult to feel it.

Also check for contact at the front of the trigger housing with the stock.Rick.
You've got a bedding problem.
Thanks,! The trigger isn't making contact with anything. Do you guy's have any suggestions on whom to have bed the rifle... it's a McMillan stock.

Call McMillan and discuss it with them.
