Anyone build one of these? Where did you get your reamer? Been trying to contact Fred Zeglin with no luck.
Whose barrel did you use?

I have not spoken with Fred Zeglin in years and don't know if he's still in the business. However, he chambered a Douglas barrel in .411 Hawk and installed it on an FN action for me about fifteen years ago.

Finally got in touch with Fred and made arrangements to rent his reamer. Researching barrel sources now. Goal is an 8#, all-in, hammer.

You will love the .411 Hawk. I built a 400 Whelen a few years ago and love it. Ballistics are the same and load data is interchangeable.

I used a Shilen barrel but any .411 barrel from a good barrel maker will work.

The 400 grain Woodleigh is a very good .411 hammer.

The Manson reamer Fred has is a .410 so I am going to find a barrel that fits it. He used Douglas tubes so that's my next stop...
