The time has finally arrived and I finished my 6.5x68mm build.

1909 Argentine M98 action
Kreiger #1 contour 1-8.5" 5R finished at 25"
Wildcat ultralight stock
Timney trigger
Vortex Razor HD LH scope with the 3-15x42 G4-BDC reticle
All metal parts coated matte black
Gunsmith was Kevin Weaver of Weaver Rifles

As it is pictured weighs 8 lbs 4 oz. I've already removed the sunshade, not sure I liked it.

I have a set of 129 LRAB bullets loaded up with Ramshot Magnum to try this weekend provided time and the weather cooperates.

Very nice rifle. Kevin does great work and that is an ultra cool cartridge.

This is the first 6.5x68 Kevin has ever put together. Also, super nice his place to mine is 15 miles round trip, so I saw the progression weekly.

Very nice I always wanted one but was concerned about brass availability. Now that RWS is more available it's not a concern. I always thought a 6x68 and a 8x68 would make a nice pair of all around rifles for just about anywhere. How is the velocity?
Mine is currently at the 'smith's getting put together. I went with a Shilen barrel and Minox scope. I'd have to look in the man cave to see if I have a stock for it yet.
That's nice jeweling work!!

Not sure yet, life and work have gotten in the way. The 25" barrel and a full case of a slow burning powder should push a 129/130 grain bullet somewhere in the 3200-3300 fps range.
