I am thinking of going with a red decelerator pad for my next McMillan order. What stock colors look best with red recoil pads? Brown would be my guess.

Brown with black speckles looks pretty good to me. My 416 Rem M70.

I think so too - any of the above three look great. I don't think I've seen a gray stock with a red pad yet - that'd be pretty cool too.

The red Decelerator is my recoil pad of choice, effective recoil reduction with classic good looks.

Grey and red is a good combo. It's especially nice looking on early (pre-911) Porsches.

If one is looking for a punchier orange, the KICK-EEZ pad will not disappoint. It's a great product too.

This thread reminded me of a stock I ordered a while back from McMillan. Had almost forgotten all about it. Hope it ends up looking like what EdM and Orion posted. Hoping I don't have to go deer hunting this November without a red pad. Maybe I'll harass my smith to pass the time.

Red pad on a mcwoody is really nice.

No..a TURD would be a BROWN colored pad...If your turds are Red, you need to see a proctologist ASAP.

Internet searches have never proven successful whenever I have tried to obtain one.
Red pads are common on other peoples' rifles but rare as hens teeth when you want to buy one.

I know it's an old thread guys but I still like looking at your pics. I have looked for the 1" medium decelerator and have only found one. I could use a couple more. Has the medium red pad been discontinued?

I don't think I have a pic of mine...I'll see if I can change that. My M70 fwt, 7x57 Mauser has a walnut stock with a red pachmayr decelerator. It looks great and works great.

A heads up for all red pad fans. Pachmayr has stopped making the size small red that I have found fits best on most guns.
