I’m in the middle of building a integrally suppressed bolt gun chambered in 300 blackout. I’m ordering a blueprinted 700 action from PTG with their one piece bolt. I’m trying to decide between the mini m16 extractor and a standard Remington. Price is the same either way.

I like the M16

I'd not cut it and would stick with Remington.

Mini M-16 if it were I.

Any particular reason to choose one or the other, or is it just preference?
Posted By: markhammett Re: Ptg extractors - 12/29/18
Also this is a custom bolt that will be cut for one or the other. Not a conversion. If that matters.

This showed up yesterday morning I think you would be happy with one like it.

Not being a smartass, but why?

Bought a action with no bolt. So I could match ID of the action to the OD of the bolt. The action will be bored to .705 bolts .703 makes for less room for sear push.

Got a manners eh3 coming for it and a Brux at Smith’s just waiting for a little research before I decided on a chamber.

That’s the next thing on my list. Bottom metal.

Stay OEM extraction.

I love Glen...but going AICS was the greatest DBM move he's made and I'd not suffer anything else for "free",or were I paid.

Pardon my having it all and then some.

Hint...............
