I bought a Bansner stock and it has a red pad. I thought it would grow on me but it hasn't so far. Before having it cut off could some of you guys put some pictures up stocks w/a red pad? Thanks in advance, powdr
Muley, can you tell me what color brown that is? Specific color. Thanks guys, keep 'em coming. powdr
Red Pachmyer Decelerator is the only pad I'll even consider putting on any of my rifles, they're all wood stocked pre'64 M/70's. On occasion I'll use a red repro Winchester pad even though they're nowhere near as effective in reducing recoil as the Decelerator.
This pad is an original Win pad with the lettering/stamp ground down and buffed off. Good solid narrow pad.

That is a McMillan Classic Edge in their brown base color with black speckle and the red pad, exact some set-up as Kimber7man's rig. Good combo with a black or stainless rifle IMHO.
Hi Butch, you sure have some nice rifles and you take some great pictures.
Joe
You mean to tell me they make pads in colors besides red?
Why?
all of mine have a red pad's way cooool!!!!!!!!
Red was the standard color when most guns had wood stocks. To me, it's a far more elegant choice than black.
I've got a Bansner stock and I'd love to have a red pad on it, so if you pull that one off and it needs a home, let me know.
Okie John

Just to be different.
Kinda like having a McFlame fiberglass stock.

Red pads are pure class....
One more, my 7mm Remington Magnum Shrike before the Zeiss sh*t the bed and I traded it for a Nightforce.
Ed, that's it. Or the one's like Beretz or BSA. Dang, you fellows put my little batch of rifles to shame. What a great bunch of wooden rifles. I'm really proud to see that most of them are being hunted with. Thanks guys, since it's a fiberglass stock, I think I'll paint it the brown or green seen in the pictures. Thanks so much guys, powdr
I always love these threads. I think we've had a lot of red pad threads. But no body ever complains. Great rifles guys!!!! Good luck powdr. Brown always goes good with a red pad.. Dang, almost any color goes good with a red pad, come to think of it..
To my eye, red pads look great on wood stocks. On synthetics of any color...bleh!
Needs to be a 1/2" red pad option

Yep, I like that combo. It's a classic around here... Looks great..
Looks very nice. I have one falling block in 257 Roberts. At my age I will probably start getting rid of a few.
Beauties! I love the look with the red pad.
