225 grain, great big critter hammer...
I would go for this before the 37. Be Well, Rusty

I’ve got a Newton ready. The 35 Noz would be a horse too.
Had a STA once upon a time.
Eventually sold it and built a 375 Ruger........
225 grain, great big critter hammer...
That’s gonna burn at least a pound of powder per Coues deer...grin....
Shortly after the RUM was introduced I thought long and hard about a 358-300RUM. I think I'm glad I didn't end up doing that.
Screw that. buy a 358 Norma....
If it makes you happy, why not?
On the other hand,I would just go with the .33 Nosler. Tons of good 338 bullets built to handle that kind of velocity. Options are fewer in 358.
Ahhhhh hell, just having a few drinks and thinking outloud.... Not much I couldn't do with my whelen or 338 win.....
I'm thinking .35 Nosler.....
You aint thinking very clearly.

Shoot, or a 308 or 30-06 but when has that slowed any of us up?
I'm thinking .35 Nosler.....

Bama, the whiskey clouded my judgement... haha
I’m thinking 36 Nosler.
Think of it as 9.3 magnum
As a 35 fan, that would be interesting.
A bigger 35 is a perfect choice for a mixed bag hunt in Alaska. A 225gr for most all and step up to a 280 Swift A-Frame for brown bear. Or just use a 250 Partition on everything and call it good. I've never had a bad bullet in 35 cal, 35 years with the Norma Mag and recently switched to the 35 Gibbs, the bears can't tell the difference from what I can see.
Building on a 400 G&H Whelen right now. Be Well, Rustyzipper.
