Morning all, i have been reloading for almost 30 years, mostly standard stuff, but soon to venture into new territory. i am about to finish a build of a 6.5x47 Lapua. so i am looking for load advice. Its a Savage action with a 30in Criterion bull barrel. What kind of loads? what velocities to expect? and is a 30 in barrel to much? thanks in advance!

Berger 140s with 4451. No clue what to expect out of a 30” barrel, mines 18.5”, but they’re still north of 2600.

38.5g of Varget with the 123g. SMK
Ive shot this load at 1000 yards but it really shines 500 and under.
For vermin shoot 38.5 with 123g AMAX or whatever they made to replace it.

40g of VV N550 with either the 140g Berger LRBT or Hybrid.
Pick the one that shoots the best in your rifle.
shoot stuff at 1000 and be happy.
Feel like playing Rel16 is a touch faster than H4350 and does very well in a -47.

30 incher will be fine
