Was quick......

Watch him gobbling on the roost, till fly down. Couple of soft yelps and he came into view putting on a show. Strutting, drumming, spitting.
18 yards and some old school Federal #6 from the 870 youth 20GA. was all she wrote.

Season was open 31 minutes.

22 pounds, main beard 10 1/4" second beard 6 1/2", spurs 3/4"

Congrats! Looks like a nice two year old bird. Judging age by his spurs.

Nice bird, my son went out this morning near Columbia but got skunked. I myself will hunt Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend. I’ve been in a Turkey drought for some time now, would love to get that flee infested monkey of my back.

I’ll be headed to Northern Missouri Sunday afternoon for a 3 day hunt , I wish it was gonna be a little warmer.

Congrats on a nice bird
Congratulations on a very nice bird.
It's been a while since I blew up a season in 30 minutes or less! LOL!
Last (only) time I pulled a double. Two birds within 15 seconds or so. First bird hit the ground flopping. Second came over to investigate!
Anyway, congrats!

Shortest opening day of season for me was about 9 minutes.

Too easy.

Congrats too all that have had success so far.

Hit it this weekend and any nice mornings during the next couple of weeks.

Rain here. Now.

Raining so I elected to sit in a blind this morning. Hardwood bottom full of big roost trees.

This rain is supposed to be done in less than an hour. See what I can stir up.

Pouring rain here in SW MO right now, but I'm stuck at work on a big weekend project anyway. I've never hunted Missouri, always go back home to Kansas, but the population is down over there and lost access to my honey hole anyway. Next weekend will be on a buddys farms and hoping he has one patterned for me. Says he has been seeing a lot and nobody hunts them.

Went out this weekend and it was windy as hell. Saw only one bird and it was headed away. Saw a ton of Tom’s and hens on neighbors property but none where I was. Still was great time. I did manage to catch a few big blue gills and a few bass later in the day
