I understand that Winchester IS in the TSS game, but loading shells under the Browning and Herters names. They seem to get good reviews on the YouTube.

I found Browning TSS on clearance at Bass Pro the other day and picked up 3 boxes of .410 13/16 oz #9 for $32.99 per box. Better than I've seen it anywhere else. I like that the shells are crimped instead of having a plastic disk over the shot. I somewhat believe that pastic disk can disrupt a pattern. Looking forward to giving them a try.

Anyone tried them? Thoughts?

I have, in my 20ga O/U in the fall season for a couple years. Expensive but works like a charm. Patterns well with browning full chokes.
For sub gauge guns it really helps I think. Just make sure the target bird is clear of the others by a bit. Filled both fall licenses with one shot a couple of years ago. 😳

If the overshot card effects the pattern, it would have to be one heck of an over the shot card. I've never found them to be adverse, but I also have a small basis to go by.
That could be. It's all speculation on my part. But I will say, my Winchester XX .410 7.5 loads patterned as well as my Federal TSS loads.
I know winchester and browning are the same because I was picking up shotshell rebate forms and they are very similar. I suspect the don't load TSS in winchester because it would undercut ther popular Longbeard products.

I'm going to try Browning TSS sometime because I like the mixed pellet size concept.

$3 per box rebate going on right now.
$32.99/bx?

That's $6/ea if they're 5 round boxes. That's what I paid for Fed #9 TSS 3 years ago.

I understand the stuff (TSS) works great, but Jiminy Christmas, that's a pile of money just for .410 shells! 🤯

A better investment would be buying an ounce of silver. About the same price! LOL!

Ok. As I told another blogger on another site, if buying $6/shell ammo helped get/keep my kids out hunting, I might cringe, but I'd pay it! ....and I'd probably keep shooting lead for my own personal use.
Guess it all depends on where one puts their priorities.
Browning TSS was like Federal TSSin my .410, most of the shot cups had a bunch of shot stuck in the bottom. If it shot good then none stuck. If it shot bad you could find the wad and it was full of TSS.

Apex for me
You're honestly worried about a $6 shell with the cost of everything else related to hunting? Go buy a Butterball! You're on every TSS post here complaining about the price of TSS! We get it already, you don't like the price!
Even $10/shot doesn't bother me much because I'm required to shoot non-toxic and options are limited.. and I don't drink much and gave up smoking and chew decades ago.

I even gave up stippers to buy ammo.

Hunting is all I have left...
