Yes or No?

Valid reason to pull your 8 year old out of school for opening day of youth season on 4/1?

Even if there weren't any turkeys in the picture, I'd say Yute Season is a good excuse any day.

Get them by the end of the month for a discount, I think I read that somewhere. I’ve got my lifetime license, so cost isn’t much of a factor. My boy though is a non resident, im glad Kansas keeps the youth tags cheap, $12.50 for a non resident.

They’re not all in that field. I’m assuming my buddies field on the opposite side of town will have a good sized herd in it as well, like it usually does.

of course

If the kid is doing well in school, I might.
But if the kid is not doing well, I would not.

ABSOLUTELY !!!

Things to be learned there that they don't teach in school.

He’s in 2nd grade. At the end of 1st semester his teacher said he was done for the rest of the year. They send him to the junior high 1 day a week for extended learning activities. They’ve moved him on to higher grades math classes. Testing as beyond a 6th grade reading level “because the test we use doesn’t go beyond that”. I think he’s doing alright. And I’m bragging as well.

Well, took about 30 minutes. One excited 8 year old. Before the shot as well as after.

23 lbs, 7/8 spurs, 10 1/4” beard

Grandpa (ole_270) there for moral support.

Not sure what it is actually. 16 guage. Unmarked, 1919 proof dates. Barrels initials of M.M. Some of the German gurus think Max Moeller did the barrels on a Sauer action. 5# 15 ounces of pleasure to carry all day.

Some speculation that Oscar Will at Venus Gunwerks did the assembly.

Well alright!! The young man bagged himself a dandy. Good times with the family. It doesn’t get any better. Congrats!

Cheesy those are some handsome looking Gobblers. They look more like Rio's I thought y'all were hunting Eastern's in MO.

Good luck and shoot straight y'all

To be honest, I don’t know what they are. I welcome any insight. Just a turkey to me...

These were from the Kansas youth season. Southeast Kansas, about 60 miles from Missouri, 30 miles from Oklahoma.

Could very well be a hybrid based on the maps I was just looking at.

Hell yeah!

Missing school to do it makes it that much better. laugh

When I was in the seventh grade, one day at school I got paged to go to the main office. I had no idea why. I figured I was in trouble or something bad had happened. When I got the office, my dad was standing there with his rubber fishing boots on. lol

I went fishing with my dad countless times growing up, but I will never forget the day he pulled me out of school early to go. smile

Some 100 year old oak barnwood I threw together. Likely change the center cover out as I don’t like how it looks.
