99EG Nm initials on metal butt plate, on stock, on receiver, NM on fore end but with different number? Missed it by four numbers?

In the 1950's they stopped putting serial numbers on the parts and started using assembly codes consisting of letters and numbers. It should match between parts, but if one has a number that's a few digits off I wouldn't worry about it. Mis-stamped, or they swapped parts around at the factory to get the best fit.

The fore-end was a bit fat for the fit around the bottom of the receiver.....but none the less..........I got a great shooter!
